Immunosuppressive and immunomodulating drugs are used during disease monitoring. Fingolimod is one of the immunomodulatory treatments used in MS patients. It is a therapeutic agent acting on lymphocytes. Latent varicella-zoster virus infections may occur in MS patients receiving fingolimod therapy.
