Aggregations occur in breeding trials on bags used to control pollination. Sprays of permethrin, but not pyrethrins, applied to the bags significantly reduced numbers of FCB for at least 12 days after application. This reduction resulted in a 25-79% increase in yields compared with untreated bags. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd.
