The new species, the first Celticecis known from the western Palearctic, is compared with previously described congeners. The leaf gall formed by this species affects a more extensive area of the leaf than do other Celticecis galls and the larval chamber uniquely remains open at its apex until sealed by the pupal cocoon.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessgall midgePalearctichackberriesLasiopteridiA NEW SPECIES OF CELTICECIS (DTPTERA: CECIDOMYIIDAE) ON CELTIS CAUCASICA (CANNABACEAE) FROM TURKEYArticle115431131510.4289/0013-8797.115.4.311WOS:000326904300002Q4
