XVI. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında Amik nahiyesi(1550-1584)

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Tapu-Tahrir Defterlerindeki kayıtlardan yararlanılarak, Amik Nahiyesi'nin 1550-1584 yılları arasındaki sosyo-ekonomik yapısı üzerinde durulmuştur. Amik, 1516 tarihinde Osmanlı hâkimiyetine girdikten sonra Haleb sancağına bağlı bir nahiye olarak idare edilmiştir. Bu süreçte Amik nahiyesi, köy ve mezralardan oluşan ve belli bir merkezi olmayan bir idari yapıya sahiptir. Çalışmada, nahiyenin köy ve mezraları, nüfusu, iktisadî durumu, ziraî alanları, hububat üretimi, vergiler, bazı zirai ürünlerin satış fiyatları ve toplam nahiye gelirlerinin bölüşümü ele alınmıştır.

In this study, the socio-economic structure of Amik sub-district in the years between 1550 and 1584 wasninvestigated based on the records of Tapu-Tahrir Registerar's Book. The region of Amik was administrated as a sub-district in the Sanjak of Haleb after it was included in the Otoman rule. In this process, the sub-district of Amik consisted of villages and hamlets (mezras) with no particular administrative center. In this study, the villages and hamlets of the sub-district, its population, its economic conditions, its agricultural areas, its production of grain were investigated. The study also looks at the taxes in the sub-district, the prices of some of the agricultural products and the allocation of the revenues of the sub-district to different areas.
