İlköğretim ikinci kademe öğrencilerinin boş zaman değerlendirme alışkanlıklarının günlük problem çözme becerilerine etkisinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu arastırmanın amacı ilkögretim 8. sınıf ögrencilerinin bos zaman degerlendirme etkinliklerinin problem çözme becerilerine etkisini belirlemektir. Bunun için bos zamanlarında okudukları kitap türleri, ugrastıkları spor dalları, üye oldukları spor, sosyal kulüpler ve okulda gerçeklestirilen kurs dısı etkinliklere katılma durumlarının problem çözme becerilerine etkisi tespit edilmeye çalısılmıstır. Arastırma betimsel bir nitelik arz etmektedir. Arastırmanın amacını gerçeklestirmek için ilkögretim 8. sınıf ögrencilerine anket uygulanmıstır. Arastırmanın evrenini Hatay iline baglı ilkögretim okullarında okuyan 8. sınıf ögrencileri olusturmaktadır. Örneklemi ise 5 ilkögretim okulunda okuyan toplam 313 ögrenciden olusmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak 2 bölüm ve toplam 38 sorudan olusan anket kullanılmıstır. Verilerin analizinde ise, Varyans analizi kullanılmıstır. Arastırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre ögrencilerinin okudukları kitap türü, üye oldukları sosyal kulüp ve ilgilendikleri spor dalına göre problem çözme becerileri anlamlı bir sekilde farklılasmamaktadır. Bunun yanında okul dısı katıldıkları kurslar açısından problem çözme becerileri birbirinden anlamlı derecede farklılasmaktadır. Örnegin halk oyunları kurslarına katılan ögrencilerin problem çözme becerileri digerlerine göre daha yüksek çıkmıstır.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between the second stage of primary school students’ evaluation of empty time habits and daily problem solving skills. For this, they were studied to determine relationship between with their type of reading books, engaging sports, members of social clubs, and participation of extracurricular activities in schools with the status of problem solving skills. This is a descriptive research. A survey was administered to 8th grade students for performing the primary purpose of the study. The universe of the study is 8th grade students in Hatay. The subject of this study is 313 8th grade students at 5 primary schools. An instrument was used as a data collection which consisted of two units and the total of 38 questions. Correlation technique is used in the analysis of data. From the research results, there are no significant relationships between the second stage of primary school students’ type of reading books, engaging sports, members of social clubs with the status of problem solving skills but there is a significant correlation students’ attending out of school courses in terms of their problem solving skills.
