Travma sonrası paraparezi olan bir kedinin rehabilitasyonu

Abstract

Bu sunumda trafik kazası nedeniyle travma sonrası paraparezi olan kedinin bir fizyoterapist eşliğinde rehabilitasyonu anlatıldı. Kedi akut dönemde spastik paraparezi idi. Motor kuvveti 0 olan, sol arka ekstremitesinde 1 değerinde spastisitesi bulunan kediye aynı fizyoterapist tarafından 2–3 gün/hafta, 30 dk/gün ev ortamında 6 ay süre ile fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon uygulandı. Bu süreçte spinal kord hasarı olan insanlarda uygulanan rehabilitasyon yöntemleri kullanıldı. Ön ayakları ile kendini çekerek mobilize olan kedi, 2.ay sonunda ayakta kısa süre durup düşüyor idi. Ayakta durma çalışmaları sonrasında adım atabildi. Sağa doru deviye yürümeye başlayan kedi 6 ayın sonunda normal yürüme paterni kazandı ve 12 ay devam eden egzersizler sonunda bir yere tırmanma, yüksekten atlama hareketlerini de yapabiliyordu. Sonuç olarak; Trafik kazası sonucunda parapleji olan bir kedi insanlarda uygulanan fizik tedavi ve rehabilitasyon yöntemleriyle tam ambulasyon kazandı.

This study was presented rehabilitation of cat who had suffering from paraparesthesia after trauma due to a car accident by physical therapist. Cat had a spastic paraparesia in acutestage. Cat who had motor strength 0, 1 for spasticity value of left back extremity received physical therapy and rehabilitation 2–3 day/week, 30 min/day at home through 6 months by same physical therapist. In this duration, it was applied to cat spinal cord rehabilitation program like human. Cat who was mobilized to pull by using forward foot was able to lie down in a while a standing position at 2nd month. After standing position exercises she was able to take a step. She won a walking pattern at the end of 6 months and was able to do some exercises including climbing and jump from high level after 12 months. In conclusion; Cat who had paraplegia after a car accident gain in exact ambulation after physiotherapy and rehabilitation program like human.
