Kesikbaş destanı ve Türk kültüründe Kesikbaş’a dair yeni bulgular

Abstract

Kesikbaş Destanı, dinî tasavvufî bir destan mahiyetinde olup, Türklerin İslâmiyet’i kabulünden sonra Anadolu’da Türk kültürüyle şekillenen destanlardan biridir. Genellikle XIV. yüzyılın başlarında yazıya geçirildiği kabul edilen Kesikbaş Destanı’nda ana tema olarak, Hz. Ali’nin devi öldürüp Kesikbaş’ın ailesini ve esir beş yüz Müslümanı kuyudan kurtarması konusu işlenmektedir. Dolayısıyla Dâsitân-ı Kesikbaş, Hz. Ali’nin fedakârlığını, cesaretini, yiğitliğini ve kahramanlığını yansıtan cenknamelerden biri olma özelliğini taşımaktadır. Öte yandan kahramanlarından birinin Kesikbaş olmasının yanı sıra, Hz. Peygamber ve Hz. Ali’ye duyulan sevginin tezahürü olarak Kesikbaş Destanı, Anadolu’dan Balkanlar’a ve Asya içlerine kadar geniş bir coğrafyada “Türk Toplumu” tarafından benimsenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Kesikbaş Destanı veya Dâsitân-ı Kesikbaş adlı esere ait beş nüsha, nüsha karşılaştırmasına tabi tutularak orijinal bir metin oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bununla birlikte mevcut çalışmalar ve kendi tespitlerimiz sonucunda Anadolu’da ve Balkanlarda Kesikbaş kültürünün yansımalarına değinilmiştir.

The legend of “Kesikbaş” is a type of religious and mystic story which has shaped with the Turkish culture at Anatolia after the conversion of Turks to Islam. This legend is usually accepted to be written down at the beginning of 14.th century and mentions about a fight that Ali (Groom of Prophet Muhammed) saves five hundred muslim and the family of “Kesik- baş” from a bell by killing a giant. Therefore “Dasitan-ı Kesikbaş” is one of the “cenknames” which has the features that show the braveness, cou- rage, prowess and sacrifice of Ali. As well as one of the characters of the story is Kesikbaş, it is appropriated by “Turkish Society” from Anatolia to Balkans and the intern lands of Asia as the legend has the reflections of the society’s love to Prophet and Ali. In this work, an original text has been tried to be produced by comparing the five copies of “Kesikbaş Destanı” or “Dasitan-ı Kesikbaş” legend. In addition of this, by the evaluation of made works and ours we tried to mention the reflections of Kesikbas culture at Anatolia and Balkans.
