Üniversitemizde bir ilk ; uniport sempatektomi deneyimimiz

Abstract

Hiperhidrozis, aktivitesi fazla olan sempatik gangliyonun inerve ettiği ilgili dermatom alanında aşırı terleme ile karakterize bir hastalıktır. Çalışmalarda %0.6-1 oranında genç insanlarda, özellikle kadınlarda görüldüğü ve %30-50’sinde pozitif aile öyküsünün olduğu bilinmektedir. Video yardımlı toraks cerrahisi ile sempatektomi, primer hiperhidrozisin tedavisinde son yıllarda uygulanan basit ve güvenilir bir yöntemdir. T2-T4 sempatik sinirlerin tek porttan videotorakoskopik elektrokoterizasyonu hastalarda en iyi sonuçlarla birlikte mükemmel kozmetik ve fonksiyonel sonuçlar vermektedir. Bu yazıda kliniğimizde ilk kez uniport ile torakoskopik sempatektomi ameliyatını sunmayı amaçladık.

Hyperhidrosis is a disease characterized by excessive sweating at the dermatome area, which is innervated by an overactive sympathetic ganglion. Studies have reported that it is observed in young people, specifically in females, with the rate of 0.6-1%. Interestingly, 30-50% of the patients have a positive family history. Video-assisted thoracic surgery sympathectomy has become a reliable method employed in primary hyperhidrosis treatment. The videothoracoscopic electrocauterization of the sympathetic nerves through single port gives the best results in patients with an excellent cosmetic and functional outcome. This article aims to present the first uniport thoracoscopic sympathectomy surgery performed by our clinic.
