Öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik uygulaması dersleriyle ilgili görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Araştırmanın amacı, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının staj öğretmenlerine yönelik görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırma, Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü'nde 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören 87 sınıf öğretmeni adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma grubu, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yöntemiyle oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formuyla toplanan verilerin analizinde, içerik analizi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Güvenirliği sağlamak amacıyla yapılan analizler sonucunda kodlayıcılar arası uyum %78,6 bulunmuştur. Araştırmanın sonuçları şu şekilde özetlenebilir: 1) Öğretmen adaylarının yarıdan fazlası (%53) staj hakkında olumsuz görüşe sahiptir. 2) Olumsuz düşünenlerin %22,9'u uygulama öğretmenlerinin kendileriyle yeterince ilgilenmediklerini, %19,7'si uygulama sürecinden yeterli verimi alamadıklarını belirtmişlerdir. 3) Olumlu düşünenlerin %46,3'ü staj sürecinin kendilerine meslekî deneyim kazandırdığını ifade etmiştir. 4) Öğretmen adaylarının yaklaşık yarısı (%49,5) uygulama öğretmenlerinin kendilerine meslekî rehberlik yapmalarını istemektedirler. 5) Uygulama öğretmeninin sahip olması gereken yeterlilikler konusunda ise öğretmen adaylarının %27,3'ünün öğretmenlerin alan ve meslek bilgisine sahip olmaları, %23,8'inin ise hoşgörülü olmaları gerektiği yönünde görüş bildirdikleri tespit edilmiştir

The aim of this research is to determine the views of the prospective primary school teachers on teaching practice courses. The research was conducted on 87 fourth grade prospective primary school teachers, studying at the department of Primary School Teaching of Education Faculty of Mustafa Kemal University. The study group was created through the convenient sampling method from the purposive sampling methods. In the study, the interview method, one of the qualitative research methods was used. For analyzing the data collected via semi-structured interview form, content analysis technique was used. As a result of analysis carried out to ensure reliability of the study, consistence between coders was found as 78,6%. The results of the study can be summarized as follow: 1) More than half of the prospective teachers (53%) had negative opinion on teaching practice. 2) 22,9% of the prospective teachers having negative opinion stated that their practice teachers did not care about them; and 19,7% of them indicated that they could not get enough output in the practice process. 3) 46,3% of the prospective teachers having positive opinion stated that practice process provided them professional experience. 4) Almost half of the prospective teachers (49,5%) wished for professional guidance from practice teachers. 5) About the qualifications that practice teachers should have 27,3% of the prospective teachers expressed that they should have the content and professional knowledge; and 23,8% of them stated that they should be tolerant
