Konuşma becerisinde aşamalı gelişim modelinin etkililiği üzerine bir değerlendirme

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı aşamalı gelişime göre düzenlenen hazırlıklı konuşma etkinliklerinin Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin konuşma becerisini geliştirmesi üzerindeki etkililiğini tespit etmektir. Araştırmanın evrenini Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın örneklemi Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümü 1/A ve 1/B sınıfı öğrencilerinden seçkisiz yöntemle belirlenen 1/A sınıfı öğrencileri olarak belirlenmiştir. Örneklem toplam 31 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Bu araştırmada deneysel desenlerden yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen "Hazırlıklı Konuşmaları Değerlendirme Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Bu form toplam 25 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Bu maddelerin 10 tanesi birinci sunumları değerlendirmek üzere kullanılmıştır. İkinci sunumları değerlendirmek amacıyla ilk sunumları değerlendirmede kullanılan ölçütlere 10 tane daha eklenmiş ve böylece 20 ölçüt elde edilmiştir. Üçüncü sunumları değerlendirme aşamasında bu ölçütlere 5 ölçüt daha eklenerek toplam 25 ölçüt elde edilmiştir. Ölçekte bulunan maddeler 1 (zayıf), 2 (orta) ve 3 (iyi) olarak derecelendirilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre öğrencilerin konuşma beceri düzeyleri birinci sunumdan üçüncü sunuma doğru yükselmektedir. Öğrenciler kendilerini özellikle dinleyicilerle göz teması kurma, sahneyi dengeli kullanma, heyecanını dengede tutma, beden dilini etkili kullanma, metne bağlı kalmama, vurguları yerinde yapma, kendine güven duyma maddeleri doğrultusunda önemli oranda geliştirmişlerdir

The aim of this study is to identify the effectiveness of prepared speech activities organized according to gradual development on the development of speaking skill of the first-year students at the Department of Turkish Language. The population of the study consists of the first-year students of the Department of Turkish Language. The study sample was determined as the students of 1/A class who were identified randomly from the students of 1/A and 1/B classes at Mustafa Kemal University, Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish Language. The sample consists of 31 students in total. Quasiexperimental design of experimental designs was used in this research. The "Assessment Scale of Prepared Speeches" developed by the researcher was utilized in this study. This form consists of 25 items. 10 of these 25 items were used to assess the first presentations. In order to assess the second presentations, 10 more were added to the criteria used to assess the first presentations and, thus, 20 criteria were obtained. While assessing the third presentations, 5 more criteria were added to the existing criteria and, thus, a total of 25 criteria were obtained. The items in the scale were graded as 1 (weak), 2 (average), and 3 (good). According to the results obtained in the study, the speaking skill of students increased from the first presentation to the third presentation. Students significantly improved themselves especially in the items of making eye contact with the audience, using the stage in a balanced way, balancing excitement, using the body language effectively, not sticking to the text, emphasizing at the right places, having self-confidence
