Yucca ekstraktının bıldırcınlarda besi performansı ile bazı biyokimyasal ve hematolojik parametreler üzerine etkisi
Abstract
Bu araştırma, rasyona 100 ve 200 ppm oranında Yucca schidigera ekstraktı katılmasının Japon bıldırcınlarında canlı ağırlık artışı, yem tüketimi, yemden yararlanma oranı, karkas randımanı ile bazı serum biyokimyasal ve hematolojik parametreler üzerine etkilerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada toplam 135 adet l haftalık Japon bıldırcın civcivi (Coturnix coturnix japonica) kullanılmıştır. Her birinde 45'er hayvan bulunan bir kontrol ve iki deneme grubu düzenlenmiştir. Araştırma 5 hafta devam etmiştir. Araştırma sonunda rasyona yucca ekstraktı katkısı bıldırcınlarda canlı ağırlık artışı, yem tüketimi ve karkas randımanında gruplar arasında istatistiksel bir fark oluşturmamıştır. Yemden yararlanma oram deneme gruplarında kontrol grubundan belirgin olarak daha iyi bulunmuştur- (p<0.05). Beş hafta sonunda belirlenen serum glukoz ve kolesterol değerleri yucca ekstraktı katılan gruplarda kontrol grubundan belirgin olarak daha düşük bulunmuştur (p<0.01). Yucca ekstraktı katkısı serum trigliserid, total protein ve albumin seviyelerini etkilememiştir. Hematolojik parametreler bakımından gruplar arasında istatistiksel bir fark bulunmamıştır. Bıldırcın rasyonlarma 100 ve 200 ppm düzeyinde Yucca schidigera katkısı yemden yararlanma oranını iyileştirmiştir. Ekonomik olduğu takdirde bıldırcın rasyonlarma Yucca schidigera ilavesinin yapılabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of rations containing 100 and 200 ppm Yucca schidigera extract on the live weight gain, feed efficiency, dressing percentage, and some serum biochemical and haematological parameters of Japanese quail. In this experiment, a total of 135 one week old Japanese quail chicks (Coturnix coturnix japonica) were used. They were allocated into one control group and two treatment groups each containing 45 quail chicks. The experiment was continued for 5 weeks. At the end of the experiment, the effects of ration containing yucca extract on the live weight gain, feed consumption and dressing percentage of quail were not statistically significant among the groups. Feed efficiency of the treatment groups were significantly better than the control group (p<0.05). At the end of the fifth week, serum glucose and cholesterol levels of the treatment groups were significantly lower than the control group (p<0.01). Yucca extract didn't affect the serum triglyceride, total protein and albumin level. Haematological parameters were not statistically different among the groups. The addition of 100 and 200 ppm Yucca schidigera to the quail ration improved the feed efficiency of quail. It is concluded that Yucca schidigera could be added .to quail rations, as long as it is economicaly advantages.
