İnternal juguler flebektazi

Abstract

internal juguler flebektazi (İJF) genellikle ağlama, öksürme ve Valsalva gibi intratorasik basıncı artıran manevralar sırasında, boyunda belirgin hale gelen şişlik şeklinde kendini gösterir. Burada birisi kendiliğinden gerileyen iki İJF olgusu sunulmuştur. Her ne kadar bu lezyonların çoğu cerrahi olarak eksize edilse de, asemptomatik vakalar konservatif olarak izlenmelidir.

Internal jugular phlebectasia usually presents as a neck mass that increases in size with maneuvers, which increase intrathoracic pressure such as crying, coughing and Valsalva. We presented two cases of phlebectasia of internal jugular vein in children with spontaneous regression in one of them. Even though most of these lesions have been excised surgically, the treatment of choice should be conservative as long as asymptomatic.
