Çalışma arazi ve laboratuar çalışmaları şeklinde yürütülmüştür. Arazi çalışmaları Antakya ve çevresine haftada bir, diğer ilçelere (Samandağ, Kırıkhan, Reyhanlı, Altınözü vb.) hava koşullarının uygun olduğu zamanlarda gidilerek galerili yaprakların toplanması şeklinde yapılmıştır. Getirilen yapraklar kültüre alınıp erginler çıkarılmıştır. Bu çalışmalar sonucunda saptanan türler; Agromyzidae: Agromyzinae, Agromyza hiemalis Becker, 1908, Agromyza nana Meİgen, 1830, Agromyza nigrescens Hendel, Ophiomia sp. nr. cunctata (Hendel, 1920); Phytomyzinae, Calycomyza humeralis (Roser, 1840), Liriomyza cicerina (Rondani, 1875), Liriomyza sativae Blanchard, 1938, Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess, 1880), Phytomyza hordeola Goureau, 1851 ve Phytomyza plantaginis Robineau-Desvoidy, 1851' dir. Liriomyza sp. türleri ve P. hordeola polifag olmakla beraber türlerin elde edildiği konukçulara örnekler sırası ile; Urtica urens L., Medicago sp., Geranium rotundifolium L., Sonchus oleraceus L., Conyza canadensis (L.) Crounquist, Cicer arietinum L., Cucumis melo L., Gossypium sp., Lamium album L. ve Plantago major sub sp. major L.'dur. Bu örneklere ait altfamilya, cins ve tür tanı anahtarları hazırlanarak teşhiste kullanılan önemli morfolojik karakterlerin şekilleri çizilmiştir. Bunların tanımlan yapılmış ve her biri hakkında bazı biyolojik bilgiler verilmiştir. Bu örneklerden Eulophidae (Hymenoptera) familyasından Crysonotomiya sp., Chrysocharis sp., Pediobius acantha (Wlk.), Diglyphus crassynervis Erdös, Diglyphus isae Wlk., Hemiptarsenus dropion Wlk., Hemiptarsenus zilahisebessi Erdös, Chrysocharis pubicornis (Zetterstedt), Neochrysocharis formosa (Westwood) ve Pinigalio sp. parazitoidleri elde edilmiştir. 2002, 69 sayfaÖğe Bolkar Dağları'nın Cercopidae Leach, 1815 (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha) faunasına katkılar(2021) Demirel, Ersin; Hasbenli, AbdullahBu çalışmada 2005–2007 yılları arasında Bolkar Dağları'ndan toplanan 780 adet Cercopidae örneği \rdeğerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirme sonucunda bu familyanın iki cinsine ait beş tür tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen \rtürlerin dorsal habitus fotoğrafları ve güncel verilere göre yeni yerel dağılım haritaları hazırlanmıştır. Ayrıca araştırma \rbölgesinde yayılış gösteren bu türlere ait bir teşhis anahtarı verilmiştir.\rÖğe Cercopis sanguinolenta (Scopoli, 1763) (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Cercopidae) dilemma and redescription of rare Cercopis Fabricius, 1775 species from Turkey(Entomological Soc Turkey, Ege Univ, 2021) Demirel, Ersin; Dinc, HisamiddinThis study was conducted to determine the Cercopidae Leach, 1815 (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha) fauna of the Central and Southern Kuseyr Plateau (Hatay/Turkey). For this purpose, samples were collected with a net, hand and tweezers from the different habitats of the region in April-June 2014-2015. However, in the process of evaluating the samples, it was found that Cercopis sanguinolenta (Scopoli, 1763) and Cercopis intermedia Kirschbaum, 1868 species were frequently confused with each other. This is because two different approaches were adopted that have resulted in a dilemma over the type of C. sanguinolenta before the Principle of Priority was established. With this study, not only the current controversy is eliminated, but also redescriptions of Cercopis distincta (Melichar, 1896), C. intermedia and Cercopis septemmaculata (Melichar, 1903) is made with informative images and morphometric data. Among these species, complete locality record has been provided for an uncertain Turkey records of C. septemmaculata and the first local record of C. distincta, which is defined as an endemic species in Turkey but whose terra typica is unknown, was also revealed with this study. New distribution maps of these species are presented with local and worldwide distributional data, and also an identification key is given, including other Cercopis Fabricius, 1775 species that occur in Turkey.Öğe Contributions to the Bolkar Mountains Cixiidae Fauna With a New Record and an Identification Key for Turkey's Tachycixius (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha)(Zoological Soc Pakistan, 2015) Demirel, Ersin; Hasbenli, AbdullahIn this study 19 specimens belonging to the family Cixiidae were examined that were collected from Bolkar Mountains in 2005-2007; nine species were identified. Two species are added to the list of previously known species from the region, of which one of them is a new record for the Turkish fauna. Existing species distributions have been extended. The number of Tachycixius species known from Turkey was increased to 6 with Tachycixius cypricus Dlabola, 1974. An identification key is given for these six Tachycixius species.Öğe Contributions to the Bolkar Mountains Cixiidae fauna with a new record and an identification key for Turkey's Tachycixius (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha)(University of Punjab (new Campus), 2015) Demirel, Ersin; Hasbenli, AbdullahIn this study 19 specimens belonging to the family Cixiidae were examined that were collected from Bolkar Mountains in 2005-2007; nine species were identified. Beris kovalevi Rozkošný and Nartshuk, 1980 and Pachygaster leachii (Curtis, 1924) species are recorded the first time for the Turkish Fauna. Pachygaster atra (Panzer, 1798) was recorded for the first time in Ordu, while Chloromyia formosa (Scopoli, 1763) was recorded for the first time in Ordu and Hatay provinces. All species were photographed as to be seen with their important morphological characters and the distributions of these species were briefly discussed.Öğe Pentastira eminei sp. nov. (Hemiptera, Fulgoromorpha, Cixiidae) from Turkiye, and notes on other Pentastira spp. in Turkiye and the Middle East(Magnolia Press, 2022) Demirel, Ersin; Erbey, MahmutPentastira eminei sp. nov. (Hemiptera, Auchenorrhyncha, Fulgoromorpha, Cixiidae) from Central Anatolia, Turkiye is described and the status of the genus in Turkiye reevaluated. Pentastira superans Logvinenko, 1976 in Turkiye, as reported in earlier faunistic studies, is doubtful and its removal from the Cixiidae species of Turkiye is recommended. An identification key and a brief evaluation of the species of the genus Pentastira Kirschbaum, 1868 in Turkiye and the Middle East is included.Öğe Some color variations of Cercopis distincta (Melichar, 1896) and a recent contribution to the asset of Hatay Cercopids: Triecphorella geniculata (Horváth, 1881)(2022) Demirel, ErsinIn this study, Cercopidae Leach, 1815 (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadomorpha) specimens obtained from field studies on Musa Mountain (Samandağ/HATAY) between April and September 2022 were evaluated. As a result of the identification of the collected specimens, three species belonging to two genera were identified. Some variation types seen in Cercopis distincta (Melichar, 1896), one of the detected species, were recorded. With this research, Triecphorella geniculata (Horváth, 1881) was recorded for the first time in Hatay province. Detailed photographs of the habitus and genitalia parts of this species are provided. Considering the available data of all identified species, current distribution maps were created and brief evaluations were made about the dispersal patterns of these species.
