Öğe The current status of thrips parasitoids Ceranisus (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) species in Turkey based on morphology and 28S D2 rDNA(Entomological Soc Turkey, Ege Univ, 2010) Doganlar, Oguzhan; Doganlar, Mikdat; Frary, AnneThe aim of this study was to investigate genetic analysis of the species within genus Ceranisus (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) that are interesting groups found in South Eastern Anatolia and Eastern parts of Mediterranean Region of Turkey and to compare with the other thrips-parasitoids between May 2006 and May 2007. Totally, 143 specimens (30 male: 113 female) belonging to Ceranisus genus were collected from 20 locations of 38 different localities in Hatay, Gaziantep, Adiyaman and Sanliurfa provinces. The population was divided into 13 groups based on morphologic characters. Phylogenetic relationships amongst Ceranisus species (Chalcidoidea: Eulophidae) were gathered from DNA sequence data. Fifteen species of thrips chalcid parasitoids were analyzed using one gene, D2 domain of the 28S ribosomal DNA. Among morphologically distinct 13 species/taxonomic groups, 3 of them identified as new species according to the genetical analysis. Four of the other species occurred in C. nr. lepidotus group while 5 of C. nr. bozovaensis consisted of two groups. To conclude 3 new species of Ceranisus and 3 different groups that may yield new species were determined in Turkish Ceranisus population.Öğe Distribution of European leaf roller, Archips rosanus (L.) (Lep.;Tortricidae) egg masses on different apple cultivars(Asian Network for Scientific Information, 2007) Doganlar, OguzhanThe distributions of European leaf roller egg masses, deposited in 2001 and 2002, were examined on Stark Crimson, Stark Spure Golden and Misket cultivars of apple (Malus communis L.) in Eastern Mediterranean Region of Turkey. From 70-80% of the egg masses were found on main and secondary branches in the canopy of the trees. Regression model provided expected vertical distribution of total numbers of egg masses on all plant parts in several heights intervals. On main and secondary branches, females discriminated in ovipozition by laying more egg masses in the southern and eastern quadrant and 80-160 cm heights intervals rather than other parts and heights. There were statistically significant differences among the mean number of egg masses found on the three apple cultivars. The highest population of mean number of egg masses was found on Stark Crimson and Golden and the lowest population was on Misket. © 2007 Asian Network for Scientific Information.Öğe Palearctic species of Chrysomalla Forster, 1859 (Hymenoptera: Perilampidae: Chrysolampinae), with descriptions of new species from Turkey(Entomological Soc Turkey, Ege Univ, 2012) Doganlar, Mikdat; Doganlar, OguzhanPalearctic species of Chrysomalla Forster 1859 (Hymenoptera: Perilampidae: Chrysolampinae) are reviewed, and a key provided to identify the species by inserting some new characters. Distributions and redescriptions of Chrysomalla stigmatica Boucek, 1972, and C. roseri Forster, 1859 were given. Three new species, Chrysomalla sekilica, C. nevsehirica, and C. gulsehirica are described from Turkey and the diagnostic characteristics of the species illustrated.Öğe Podagrionella Girault, 1913 (Hymenoptera: Torymidae: Podagrionini) Species from Turkey, with Descriptions of New Species(Tubitak Scientific & Technological Research Council Turkey, 2009) Doganlar, Oguzhan; Doganlar, MikdatTwo new Podagrionella Girault, 1913 (Hymenoptera: Torymidae: Podagrionini) species. Podagrionella eremiaphilae sp. nov, and P. konyaensis sp. nov., were collected from Konya and Sanliurfa (Bozova) provinces and are described. The key to the Palearctic Podagrionella species was reorganized with the addition of the 2 new species. The diagnostic characters of the new species are given.
