Öğe Genetic Impact Determination of Farmed Fish on Native Fish by mtDNA Markers(Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam Univ Rektorlugu, 2015) Kayaci, Ali; Can, Mehmet Fatih; Guner, Yusuf; Gulec, Fatih; Ikiz, MehmetAquaculture is one of the world's fastest-developing and growing food-producing sectors. The subsector's expansion commenced in the 1970's, actuated by move forwards in hatchery technology and pond husbandry. Aquaculture and especially fish farming, however, have been discussed as negative potential effects on environment. The negative potential effects are, direct mortality, loss of biodiversity, tainting of wild species. Moreover these are disease transmission to other species, displacement of wild fish from natural habitat. Although these negative potential effects, cultural fish represent genetically exogenous populations or crosses between them. Some pauper gen pool of cultured fish population can develop with fertile gen pool of natural fish population or just the opposite of them. It can be said that cultured fish typically constitute gene pools. We need an observation which brings an urgent focus for conservation between natural populations and spawning populations. In this review it was observed negative genetic impacts of escaped farmed fish population on wild fish population by mtDNA markers.Öğe Structural and Bio-Technical Analysis of Aquaculture Farms in Land in Kahramanmaras(Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam Univ, 2011) Kayaci, Ali; Buyukcapar, H. MuratThis study was carried out by the aim of determining the feasibilities, structural and bio-technical problems of aquaculture facilities in land in the Kahramanmaras. Total 15 fish farms licensed located in the fresh water, were determined. All of them were visited and interviewed with their owner face to face and data were collected in order to determine present condition of fish farms and their problems. Although total project capacities of farms were 6229 tons/year, the actual production was determined as 2991 tons/year. The following results were obtained from this study; the average feed conversion rate was 1.28. It also determinated that ponds used in a productive manner and stock density was very low. In Kahramanmaras, aquaculture investments should be prepared according to scientific data.Öğe Structural and Biotechnical Analysis of Net Cage Rainbow Trout Farms in Kahramanmaras(Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam Univ, 2012) Kayaci, Ali; Buyukcapar, H. MuratIn this study, more than 3 tons of businesses operating within the scope of net cage rainbow trout production is examined in Kahramanmaras province. In this context, six rainbow trout production firms were identified, and their structural and biotechnical analyzes were done. Face to face interview survey has been done for all of the enterprises, data are collected from businesses in order to reveal the current situation and problems. According the obtained data, the average total project capacity of enterprises is 1.008 tons/year, average total production capacity is 428 tons/year, and average feed conversion ratio (FCR) is 1,24. The average water surface area leased by businesses was calculated as 9.036 m(2). In addition, areas leased by businesses and the production of their fields (productive area) was calculated by taking the average of 24% utilization rates of water area. Harvesting density of the net cages is 15.4 kg/m(3) and enterprises average capacity utilization rate is determined as 60.91%. Aim of this study is to determine capacity of net cage aquaculture enterprises and encountered technical problems in Kahramanmaras province; thus, information obtained from the development of the sector is carried out to investigate and propose solutions to increase productivity. Results are given next in accordance with the objectives of the study; net cages are utilized not efficiently, density of stock is low, feed conversion values are high, capacity utilization rates and the water area usage is low. According to the data obtained from this study the followings should be done to enhance the efficiency of enterprises. Organization, to use high-quality feed, run-trained staff, regular record keeping and strict control of competent authorities.
