    Kuzeydoğu Akdeniz'de bazı teleost balıklarda görülen monogenean parazitlerin incelenmesi

    İskenderun Körfezi (Kuzey Doğu Akdeniz)'nden elde edilen 31 adet Diplodus vulgaris, 20 adet Diplodus sargus sargus, 19 adet Oblada melanura, 20 adet Siganus luridus ve 19 adet Sargocentron rubrum örneği monogenean parazit varlığı yönünden incelenmiştir. Araştırma 35°47?00??- 35°46?30??Doğu ve 36°17? 38??- 36°17?14??Kuzey koordinatlarında Mart-Aralık 2008 tarihleri arasında yürütülmüştür. Incelenen balık türlerinin tamamında farklı prevelans düzeylerinde solungaç lamellar epitalinden monogenean parazitlerin varlığı belirlenmiştir. Bunlar Microcotyle sp. Oblada melanura'da, Lamellodiscus sp. Diplodus vulgaris, Diplodus sargus sargus ve Siganus luridus'da ve Diplectanum sp. ise Sargocentron rubrum türünde bulunmuştur.

    Occurrence of Trypanosoma sp. in wild African sharptooth catfish (Clarias gariepinus Burchell, 1822) in the River Asi (north-eastern Mediterranean), Turkey

    Fifteen African sharptooth catfish (Clarias gariepinus Burchell, 1822) were collected from the River Asi (River Orontes) in Antakya (Hatay, Turkey) in November 2007, and fish blood samples were examined for the presence of blood parasites. The existence of infection with Trypanosoma (hemoparasite) was identified in 13 out of the 15 fish specimens. Currently there are no records of the presence of any species of Trypanosoma infecting Clarias gariepinus in Anatolia. Thus this study is the first report of Trypanosoma sp. infections in Clarias gariepinus in Turkey.
