Özet
Chiral norephedrine-based beta-amino alcohol bearing a substituted thiophene ring were applied as catalysts for the enantioselective aldol reaction of isatins with ketones. Using enantiomeric chiral amino alco-hols, the desired aldol products were obtained in high yields and excellent enantioselectivities (up to 95% ee) under optimized conditions.
