Özet

Prominent ear deformation is a condition with an autosomal dominant trait and has a prevalence of 5 % in the white race. It emerges for two anatomical reasons: underdevelopment of the antihelical fold and lateral overdevelopment of the conchal bowl. The incisionless otoplasty technique allows an easy and direct approach to bend the undeveloped antihelix. It is convenient in flexible, thin, malleable ears and can also be applied to ears with strong cartilage with scoring. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.
