While spinal anesthesia is a common procedure used for obstetric and also for other different surgical approaches, some neurologic complications can be seen after spinal blockade due to either anesthesia technique or local anesthetic agent. A thirty-eight years old pregnant woman was taken to the operation room to undergo elective recurrent caesarean section. Following an uneventful spinal anesthesia and a surgery without complication, numbness and lack of sense was continued in a region with a diameter of 4 cm, localized above the knee, lateral face of the lower limb despite the removal of the blockade. The lack of sense was maintained until 4 months postoperatively and then recovered completely. We concluded it should be kept in mind that paresthesia, a complication seen after spinal anesthesia, are usually transient, but can rarely be prolonged.en_US
