dc.description.abstract | The AZ91-1Sr alloy, the 0.5, 1 and 2 vol.% Al2O3/AZ91-1Sr nanocomposites were fabricated by high pressure die casting method and investigated the effect of nano Al2O3 particles on the mechanical properties and creep behaviour of the AZ91-1Sr alloy. Mechanical and creep tests disclosed remarkable enhancements in the yield strength, tensile strength, hardness and creep resistance of the AZ91-1Sr alloy with addition of nano Al2O3 particles. The best results were obtained in the case of the addition of 2 vol.% Al2O3 nano particles. | en_US |
