Özet
ITP (idiopathic trombocitopenic purpura) is defined as isolated thrombocytopenia which occurs even in normal bone marrow structure without any reason. Splenectomy is an efficient and permanent treatment in treatment-resistant ITP cases. Accesory spleen and splenosis, also known as auto-implantation of spleen, are rare clinical cases that need to be considered in ITP relapses. In this study, a 49 year old woman patient who had splenectomy because of ITP and had ITP relapse stemming from splenosis in postoperative 5th year is presented with literature.
