dc.description.abstractAim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of sexual life of males with nasal septal deviation (NSD). Also, we aimed to find out the impact of septoplasty operation on quality of sexual life. Material and Method: 30 patients with NSD and 30 control subjects with no nasal deformity were included in the study. International Index of Erectile Function Questionnaire (IIEF) was used to evaluate the quality of sexual life of the subjects. Results: The mean scores of erectile function, orgasmic function, sexual desire, intercourse satisfaction and overall satisfaction for NSD group were significantly lower than control group(p <= 0.05). The mean scores for all domains were significantly different before and after septoplasty in NSD group(p <= 0.05). Discussion: NSD seems to have negative effects on quality of sexual life in males. Also, we detected that a significant improvement in sexual performance can be provided by the treatment of nasal obstruction by septoplasty in patients with NSD.en_US
