dc.description.abstract | The germination tests were carried out at the seed testing laboratory of Field Crops Department, Faculty of Agricultural, University of Ankara, in 2003. The seeds were treated with GA3 (0, 100, 200 and 400 ppm) and KNO3 (0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.4 %). The highest germination rate (88%) was obtained in the seeds treated with GA3 (100 ppm) belonging to the year 2001. However, no germination was recorded in 10 years old seeds. Germination rate in the control seeds decreased regularly from 78% to 0%. The GA3 and KNO3 had positive effect on germination of older seeds. | en_US |
