Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı " Multimedya Tabanlı Tahmin-Gözlem-Açıklama" stratejisine dayalı hazırlanan etkinliklerin, Ortaöğretim 9. sınıf Coğrafya dersine yönelik akademik başarısına etkisini belirlemektir. 2016–2017 öğretim yılını kapsayan araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Antakya Hüseyin Özbuğday Anadolu Lisesi 9. sınıfta öğrenim gören "64" öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma desenlerinden olan statik grup karşılaştırmalı zayıf deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Deney grubundaki öğrencilere Multimedya Tabanlı TGA tekniğine dayalı hazırlanan etkinlikler, kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere ise MEB'in önerdiği etkinlikler uygulanmıştır. Veri toplama araçları olarak "ünite başarı testi", ''Multimedya Tabanlı TGA Etkinlik Formları " ve deney grubu öğrencilerinin bu strateji hakkındaki görüşlerinin alındığı "Öğrenci Görüşme Formu" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın akademik başarıya dair verileri, TGA etkinlikleri ve son test olarak uygulanan başarı testi ile elde edilmiştir. Veriler istatistiksel analizlere tabi tutulmuştur. Ünite başarı testinden elde edilen verilerin analizinde bağımsız örneklem t testi kullanılmıştır. TGA etkinliklerinin analizinde ise bağımlı örneklem t testi ve betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin uygulama sürecinde en başarılı oldukları etkinlikler bulgular bölümünde sunulmuştur. Ünite başarı testi son test analizlerinden elde edilen sonuçlarda; deney grubu ve kontrol grubu arasında anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmemiştir (p>0,05). Deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin akademik başarıları arasında anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmemiş olsa da deney grubu öğrencileri Multimedya Tabanlı TGA stratejisini sevdiklerini, daha ilgi çekici bulduklarını, stratejinin öğrenmeyi eğlenceli hale getirdiğini ve diğer ünitelerde de bu stratejiyi kullanmak istediklerini ifade etmişlerdir. The aim of the this research is to evaluate the applicability of the activities supported by the Multimedia Based Prediction-Observation-Explanation strategy in the geography course supported by multimedia tools by determining the effect of the activities prepared on the basis of the academic achievement towards the 9th grade Geography course.The sample of the study, which covers the 2016-2017 academic year, consists of "64" students in the 9th grade of Antakya Hüseyin Özbuğday Anatolian High School. Pre-test and post-test control group quasiexperimental design haas been used as research design. Activities based on Multimedia Based POE technique have been applied to the students in the experimental group. The activities suggested by the Ministry of National Education have been applied to the students in the control group. "Unit Achievement Test", "Multimedia Based POE Activity Forms" and "Student Opinion Form" have been used as data collection tools. The data on the academic achievement of the research have been obtained by POE activities and achievement test applied as post-test. Datas have been analyzed statistically. Independent t test has been used in the analysis of quantitative data. Dependent sample t test and descriptive analysis has been used for the analysis of POE activities. The most active activities of the students during the application process have been presented in the findings section. In the results obtained from the unit success test post-test analysis; Significant difference between the experimental and control groups could not found (p>0,05). Although there was no significant difference between the academic achievement of the experimental and control group students, the experimental group students have been express that they liked the Multimedia Based POE strategy, they found it more interesting, the strategy made learning fun and they wanted to use it in other units.
