The investigation of meat yield of Chondrostoma meandrense Elvira, 1987 in the Kemer Dam Lake

| dc.description.abstract | In this study, relationship between various organs of the body and meat yield of the Chondrostoma meandrense Elvira, 1987 were investigated based on specimens collected from Kemer Dam Lake, during the period from January 2006 to August 2006. At the end of this study, the following results were obtained: interior organs weight/total body weight 15.63%, head weight/total body weight 11.81%, fins weight/total body weight 1.99% and meat yield 66.95%. Meat yield was determined as 65.43, 67.59, 67.14, 68.32 and 69.62% depending on the II-VI ages in Chondrostoma meandrense respectively. As a result of the determination meat yield increased as the age increased. | en_US |
