Özet
This is a qualitative study aiming to analyze the analogies in the textbook used in the course “Computer Science” at secondary schools in Turkey; and content analysis technique has been employed. In parallel with the purpose of the present study, the document analyzed for the study is textbook “Computer Science” published in 2017 by Ministry of National Education for secondary school level. In this context, “Computer Science” course book has been examined with a critical eye in line with analogy classification. According to the results of the study, it can be concluded that the total number of the analogies utilized throughout the course book is significantly low in number. As a result, it can be suggested that in all types of categories the numbers of the analogies should be increased; and regarding this issue, the writers of the books published by the Ministry of National Education should be included in some awareness-raising trainings. © 2019, Ankara University.
