Ova kurbağasının [Pelophylax ridibundus (Pallas, 1771)] genç bireylerinde uygun yem rasyonu ve besleme yöntemlerinin belirlenmesi

Özet
Ülkemizde, toplayıcılıkla üretimi sürdürülen Ova kurbağasının (Pelophylax ridibundus) bulunma miktarı gün geçtikçe azalmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, azalan kurbağa üretimine çözüm olarak kurbağaların uygun bir yem rasyonu ve besleme yöntemi ile yetiştirilebilirliği araştırılmıştır. Doğadan toplanan genç kurbağala (ort; 22,08±7,01 g) , büyüklüğü 2x2,5 m olan dört adet beton havuza 20'şer adet yerleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada yarı kuru üretim modeli uygulanmıştır. Kurbağaların beslenmesinde, içerisine toprak solucanı (Lumbricus terrestris) ilave edilmiş özel bir yem rasyonuyla hazırlanan pelet yem kullanılarak, yaklaşık üç aylık besleme süreci geçirilmiştir. Bu besleme sürecinde kurbağaların açlık davranışları, pelet yeme yönelimleri, yemi kabul etme oranı, yemi reddediş şekli, yemleme zamanı, havuzun kuru ve sulu bölümünde yem alımı, yemleme yöntemleri, yem alım oranı, stres faktörleri, pelet yemin kıvamı, büyüme ve hayatta kalma oranı araştırılmıştır. Tüm havuzlar bazında %87,5'lik bir yaşama oranı elde edilmiştir. Ülkemizde ilk defa yapılan bu araştırmada, uçan haşere gibi canlı yem ile beslenme alışkanlığına sahip olan kurbağaların, cansız ve hareketsiz bir besin olan pelet yem ile beslenmesi sağlanmıştır. Kurbağa yetiştiriciliğine ışık tutacak olan bu çalışmada, Pelophylax ridibundus'un kültüre alınabilirliği bakımından önemli bir sonuç elde edilmiştir.
The number of Pelophylax ridibundus is decreasing day by day in Turkey due to collection for marketing. In this study, the suitable feeding method and food ration were investigated possibility of intensive culture as a solution to protect decreasing natural frog populations. 80 young frogs collected from nature were equally placed in 4 concrete pools; at the size of 2 x 2.5 m. Semi-dry production system was implemented in this study. Feeding has continued for about three months. A special pellet food including earthworm ( Lumbricus terrestris ) was prepared for feeding. Frog behavior when they are hungry, their tendencies for eating pelleted food, food acceptance rate, the way of food refusal, feeding time, food intake in dry and wet section of the pools, feeding methods, food intake rate, stress factors, pellet consistency, growth and survival rate were investigated during the feeding period. Survival rate were found to be 87.5% for all pools. This study is a first in our country and shows that frogs which feed on alive flying can also be fed with pelleted food which is not alive. This study has shed light on frog culture and its possibility for intensive frog farming.
