Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin eleştirel görsel okuma becerilerini incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Hatay ili Antakya ilçesinde bulunan İnönü Ortaokulu ve Esentepe Mehmet Akar Ortaokulu'nda öğrenim gören 100 6. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın örneklemini belirlemek için basit seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri için araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Eleştirel Görsel Okuma Ölçme Aracı ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ilişkisiz örneklem t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmada ulaşılan sonuçlara göre 6.sınıf öğrencilerinin eleştirel görsel okuma becerileri, annenin meslek durumuna göre - annesi memur/çalışan öğrenciler lehine- anlamlı bir farklılık göstermiştir. Anne ve babanın öğrenim durumu, Türkçe ders notları, babalarının meslek durumu, kendine ait odası olup olmaması, ders saatleri dışında kitap okumaya ayırdıkları süreler, iletişim aletleri karşısında geçirdikleri süreler açısından anlamlı bir farklılık belirlenmemiştir.
The purpose of this research is to examine the level of the 6th grade students' critical visual reading skills . For this purpose , descriptive survey model was used research method in the study . The study group of the research consists of 100 6th grade students attending İnönü Secondary School and Esentepe Mehmet Akar Secondary School in Antakya district of Hatay province in the 2021-2022 academic year . Simple random sampling method was used to determine the sample of the study. The Critical Listening Skills Assessment Tool and Personal Information Form developed by the researcher were used for the data of the study . The obtained data were analyzed by unrelated sample t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). According to the resuts of the research, the critical listening skills of 6th grade students were in favor of those according to the occupation status of their mothers of those who are civil servants/worker. No significant difference was determined in terms of the education level of the mother and father, their Turkish course grades, their father's occupational status, whether they have their own room or not, the time they spend reading books outside of class hours, and the time they spend in front of communication devices. On the other hand, female students' critical visual reading skills were higher on average than male students.
