Sosyal bilgiler öğretiminde biyografi kullanımının akademik başarıya etkisi

| dc.description.abstract | Sosyal bilgiler dersinin önemli sorunlarından biri de öğrencilerin yaşları gereği soyut konuları anlamakta zorlanmasıdır. Ders kazanımlarında verilen soyut konular öğrencinin seviyesine uygun bir biçimde somutlaştırılarak verilmelidir. Bu durum da ancak eğitim öğretim de farklı materyal kullanımıyla gerçekleştirilir. Dersin kazanımına uygun kullanılan her materyal öğrencinin konuyu daha kolay anlamasına yardım eder. Derste kullanılan materyallerden biri de biyografilerdir. Yapılan araştırmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler dersinde kullanılan biyografi yönteminin öğrencilerin akademik başarısına etkisini incelemektir. Bu araştırmanın yöntemi, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel bir desende tasarlanmıştır. Ön test-son test kontrol gruplu modelde, yansız atama ile oluşturulmuş iki grup bulunur. Bu gruplardan biri deney grubu diğeri de kontrol grubudur. Uygulamamızda öğrenciler, deney grubu ve kontrol grubu olarak ayrılmış, ön testler uygulanmış sonrasında ise deney grubuna belirlenen konular biyografi yöntemi kullanılarak anlatılmıştır. Her iki grupta da deney öncesi ve deney sonrası ölçümler yapılmıştır. Yaptığımız uygulama sonucunda elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Uygulama sonucunda elde edilen bulgulardan yola çıkarak, deney grubunda biyografi yönteminin kullanımının öğrencilerin akademik başarısında olumlu etkisi olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | One of the significant problems of social studies lessons is that students struggle to understand abstract concepts due to their age. Abstract topics given in the course outcomes should be presented in a concrete way that is appropriate for the student's level. This can only be achieved through the use of different teaching materials in the educational process. Every material used in accordance with the course objectives helps students understand the subject more easily. One of the materials used in the lesson is biographies. The aim of the conducted research is to examine the impact of the biography method used in social studies lessons on students' academic achievement. The method of this research was designed in a pretest-posttest control group experimental design. In the pretest-posttest control group model, there are two groups created through random assignment. One of these groups is the experimental group, and the other is the control group. In our application, students were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Pre-tests were administered, and then the designated topics were presented to the experimental group using the biography method. Measurements were taken before and after the experiment in both groups. The data obtained from our application were analyzed using the SPSS software package. Based on the findings obtained from the application, it was observed that the use of the biography method in the experimental group had a positive impact on students' academic achievement. | en_US |
