Özet
Bu çalışmada, üç yeni Schiff bazı bileşiğinin antioksidan ve antibakteriyel aktiviteleri araştırılmıştır. Schiff bazları, 2,4-dihidroksi asetofenonun m-ksilendiamin, 1,3-siklohekzanbis-metilamin ve 1,3-diaminopropan ile tepkimelerinden ayrı ayrı hazırlanmıştır. Schiff bazlarının antioksidan aktivitelerini belirlemek için serbest radikal süpürme (DPPH), demir indirgeme gücü (FRAP) ve bakır indirgeme (CUPRAC) metotları kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar standart antioksidanlarla (BHA, BHT) karşılaştırılmıştır. DPPH ve FRAP metotlarının sonuçlarına göre 2,4-dihidroksiasetofenon-1,3- diaminopropan Schiff bazının en güçlü antioksidan aktivite gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. CUPRAC metoduna göre ise incelenen üç Schiff bazının birbirine yakın antioksidan aktivite gösterdikleri tespit edilmiştir. In this study, antioxidant and antibacterial activities of three new Schiff base compounds were investigated. Schiff bases were prepared separately from there actions of 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone with m-xylenediamine, 1,3-cyclohexanebis-methylamine and 1,3-diaminopropane. Free radical scavenging (DPPH), iron reduction (FRAP) and copper reduction (CUPRAC) methods were used to determine the antioxidant activity of Schiff bases. The results were compared with standard antioxidants (BHA, BHT). According to the results of DPPH and FRAP methods, 2,4- dihydroxyacetophenone-1,3-diaminopropane Schiff base showed the strongest antioxidant activity. According to the CUPRAC method, it was found that the three Schiff bases examined showed antioxidant activity close to each other. The antibacterial activities of Schiff base compounds were in vestigated by a microdilution broth method against one gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) and three gram negative bacteria (Proteus mirabilis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae). 2019, 33 pages
