Tomato leaf miner, Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) is one of the most important pests of tomato plants. The study was conducted in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 to determine the population density and the damage rate of the tomato leaf miner, Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) using pheremone traps in six tomato-growing greenhouses, located in Muratpaşa, Kepez and Aksu districts of Antalya province. In the first year of the study, six different varieties, Nazal F1 and Verty F1 in Aksu district, Lamia F1 and Newton F1 in Kepez district, and Mayıs F1 and Nazal F1 in Muratpaşa district were cultivated in six different greenhouses. In the second year of the study, six different varieties, Nazal F1 and Nazal F1 in Aksu district, Ceren F1 and Ceren F1 in Kepez district, and Destegül F1 and Nazal F1 in Muratpaşa district were cultivated in six different greenhouses. During the first year of the study, a total of 4235 tomato leaf miner adults were caught by pheromone traps in six greenhouses. A significant fluctuation on population density of tomato leaf miner were observed during the sampling period. The highest number of adults were caught by the pheromone traps was in the first week, while the least adults were caught was on 3rd January. The population density of the pest has gradually increased starting from January 10th. As monthly basis, the highest number of adults were caught by pheromone traps was in March (22.72%), followed by 22.53% in November, 21.72% in February, 16.86% in January, and 12.16% in December. During the second year of the study, a total of 4139 tomato leaf miner adults were caught by pheromone traps in six greenhouses. A significant fluctuation on population density of tomato leaf miner were observed during the sampling period and the highest number of adults were caught by pheromone traps were on 16th and 30th October 2016 and 12th March 2017. The lowest number of adults were caught by pheromone traps between 6th November 2016 and 5th March 2017. The highest number of adults were caught by pheromone traps was in October (39.31%), followed by 19.86% in March, 12.27% in February, 11.89% in November, and 6.96% in January. The damage of the pest was only observed on tomato leaves. During the first year of the study, the highest damages of the pest were observed in Mayıs F1 variety with 8.81%, followed by Nazal F1 variety with 6.80%, Lamia F1 variety with 2.25%, Newton F1 with 1.50%, Nazal F1 variety with 1.22% and Verty F1 variety with 0.64%. During the second year of the study, the highest damage of the pest was observed in M333 F1 variety with 4.90%, followed by Destegül F1 variety with 3.60%, Ceren F1 variety with 3.60%, Ceren F1 with 3.10% Nazal F1 variety with 2.90% and Nazal F1 variety with 0.62%.
