dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın temel amacı, ekonomik büyüme ile çevre arasındaki etkileşimi incelemektir. Bu amaçla Çevresel Kuznets Eğrisi'nin geçerliliği gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkeler için test edilmiştir. Ekonomik büyüme göstergesi olarak kişibaşına düşen milli gelir, çevre kirliliği göstergesi olarak kişibaşına karbondioksit (CO2) emisyonu seçilmiştir. Ayrıca kontrol değişkeni olarak ticari dışa açıklık oranı değişkeni seçilmiştir. Kişibaşına düşen milli gelir ile kişibaşına düşen karbondioksit emisyonu arasındaki ilişki için ekonometrik analiz yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, çevre, çevresel sorunlar ve bu sorunların nedenleri üzerinde durulmuş ve ayrıca çevresel sorunların çözümüne yönelik yapılan uluslararası çalışmalar incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde, ekonomik büyüme, ekonomik büyüme çeşitleri ve çevrenin ekonomi içindeki yeri irdelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ekonomik büyüme ve çevre arasındaki ilişki Çevresel Kuznets Eğrisi hipotezi etrafında anlatılmış ve bu konu ile ilgili geniş bir literatür taramasına yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın son bölümünde ise uygulamaya yer verilmiştir. Uygulama için gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkeleri temsilen, iki panel veri seti hazırlanmıştır. Uygulamada dönem olarak 1980-2010 dönemi seçilmiş ve yöntem olarak panel eşbütünleşme analizi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgulara göre 1980-2010 dönemi için Çevresel Kuznets Eğrisi hipotezi gelişmiş ülkelerde geçerli iken gelişmekte olan ülkelerde geçersizdir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of this study, is to examine the interaction between economic growth and the environment. To this end, the validity of the Environmental Kuznets Curve has been tested for both developed and developing countries. The national income per capita as an indicator of economic growth, per capita carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions as an indicator of environmental pollution has been selected. Also trade openess rate variable has been selected as a control variable. Econometric analysis has been made for the relationship between national income per capita and per capita carbon dioxide emissions. In the first part of the study, environment, environmental issues, and has focused on the causes of this problem and also the international working towards the solution of environmental problems have been studied. In the second part, economic growth, sort of economic growth and place in the economy of the environment are examined. In the third section the relationship between economic growth and the environment is explained around the Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis and extensive literature review on this subject are included. In the final part of the study are included in the application. For applications, developed and developing countries, representing two panel data set was prepared. In practice, the period of 1980-2010 selected as the period and the panel cointegration analysis is used as method. According to the results obtained in this study for the period 1980-2010 Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis valid in developed countries, while in developing countries is invalid.en_US
