Abstract
Meckel divertikülü gastrointestinal sisteminin en sık görülen doğumsal anomalisidir. Çocukluk çağında daha çok kanama ve obstrüksiyon bulgularıyla ortaya çıkarken, erişkinlerde nadiren görüntüleme yöntemlerinde veya laparatomi esnasında saptanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada akut apandisit ön tanısıyla operasyona alınan, ancak meckel divertikülit perforasyonu saptanan olgu sunulmuştur. Akut apandisit düşünülen ve eksplorasyonda normal apendiks saptanan hastalarda meckel düvertiküliti akla gelmeli ve ince barsak eksplorasyonu mutlaka yapılmalıdır.
Meckel’s diverticulum is the most seen congenital gastrointestinal anomaly. It usually appears with hemorrhage and intestinal obstruction in childhood. Otherwise in adults, Meckel’s Diverticulums are generally diagnosed incidentally by imaging technics or during laparotomy. We reported a case of Meckel’s Diverticulum perforation which the laparotomy was performed for acute appendicitis. Meckel’s Diverticulum should be remembered in terms of patients who had undergone laparotomy for acute appendicitis with normal appendix, and small bowel exploration should be performed.
