Özet
Bu çalışma Muğla ili genelinde süt sığırı yetiştiriciliğinin mevcut yapısının ve sorunlarının tespiti ile çözüm önerileri geliştirilmesi amacı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada bütün ilçeleri kapsayacak şekilde 50 yetiştirici ile anket yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, bölgede süt sığırı yetiştiriciliğinin genellikle orta yaş ve üzeri bireyler tarafından yapıldığı ve yetiştiricilerin eğitim seviyelerinin düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir. Muğla ili ve ilçelerinde süt sığırı yetiştiriciliğinde Holştayn, İsviçre esmeri ve Simental ırklarının tercih edildiği görülmektedir. Süt sığırı işletmelerinde entansif üretim tercih edilmektedir. Yetiştiriciler ürün pazarlama, meraların yetersizliği, hayvan sağlığı ve damızlık temininde sorunları olduğunu belirtmektedirler.
This study was carried out to identify the current structure and problems of dairy cattle breeding in Muğla province and to find out the ways how to solve their problems. Fifty questionnaires with breeders from all the districts of Muğla were conducted for the study. According to the obtained results, dairy cattle husbandry in the region is mostly performed by adults with low education level. At the end of the study, it is seen that dairy cattle breeders prefer Holstein, Brown Swiss and Simmental cattle. Intensive production is preferred in dairy cattle enterprises. The dairy cattle enterprises are mostly face with some problems such as lack of selling their products properly, insufficient pasture, animal health problems and obtaining cows with high genetic capacity.
