Özet
The higher education system in France is structured into two groups such as universities and elite schools. The political-administrative elite is trained in elite schools. This article aims to examine French public administration education with the help of Pierre Bourdieu's toolbox. The current situation has been revealed by comparatively examining the research conducted by Bourdieu and Passeron between 1961 and 1962 in his works titled The Inheritors and the data obtained by the French Public Policy Institute (IPP) in 2016-2017. It was concluded that the French higher education system glorifies cultural capital and separates 'selected' students from 'ordinary' for the interest of the dominant political power Even with the latest changes that started in 2022 with the replacement of National School of Administration (ENA) by the National Institute of Public Service (INSP), the new system is still being discussed
