Although cleft lip is a common congenital anomaly, since its frequency has not changed by years and since the number of specialists working on their treatment is increasing, it can be said that the number of the cleft lip patients for per surgeon tend to decrease We presented 30 patients operated on during the last 5 years in Ankara and Hatay. We used general anesthesia on all infants but we were able to operate on under local anesthesia in patients in which their ages were more than 15. We operated on one week later from medical treatment the patients those in their preoperative assesment anesthesiologist diagnosed upper respiratory tract infection and advised the medical treatment. We used quadrangular flap technique in all the patients. We were able to present our early and 1 year postoperative results. Taking into consideration of vermilion, lip and scar formations, we would like to say that although it is an easy technique to obtain good results, the scar formation depends on something other than only surgical technique used.
