Özet
Topluma hizmet uygulamaları öğretim programlarını toplumun ihtiyaçları ile birleştiren ve bireyleri daha
duyarlı olmaya sevk eden bir öğretim yöntemidir. Yöntem önceleri sivil toplum kuruluşları tarafından
kullanılsa da daha sonraları okulların ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak ve karşılaşılan problemleri çözebilmek
amacıyla eğitim camiasında da kullanılmaya başlandı. Topluma hizmet uygulamalarını daha aktif ve daha
etkin kullanmak amacıyla daha sonra bu yöntem ders olarak üniversitelerde okutulmaya başlandı. Bu
nedenle topluma hizmet uygulamaları dersi 2006 yılında üniversitelerde okutulan dersler arasına alındı ve
halen üniversitelerin eğitim fakültelerinde ders olarak gösterilmektedir. Bu dersin amacı, öğretmen adaylarını
toplumdaki sorunlara karşı daha duyarlı veya bilinçli hale getirmek ve sorunlara karşı çözüm önerileri
geliştirip problemleri çözme becerisi kazandırmaktır. Ayrıca topluma hizmet uygulamaları dersi ile öğretmen
adaylarına işbirliği yapma, koordineli çalışma, sorumluluk, ekip çalışması, liderlik, yöneticilik, proje yapma,
gibi roller ve davranışlar kazandırılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Bu çalışma, öğretmen adaylarının topluma hizmet
uygulamaları dersi ile ilgili görüşlerini belirleyebilmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu,
2021-2022 öğretim yılında Hatay Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesine bağlı farklı bölümlerde
topluma hizmet uygulamaları dersini almış öğretmen adayları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma öğretmen
adaylarının topluma hizmet uygulamaları dersi ile ilgili görüşlerini belirlemeye yönelik nitel bir araştırmadır.
Araştırmada, durum çalışması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmen adayları gönüllülük
esasına dayalı olarak katılmışlardır. Araştırma verileri, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiş olan yarı
yapılandırılmış bir görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen tüm veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile
kodlanarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, öğretmen adaylarının özellikle fiziksel sorunları olan
okullara yardım ettiklerinde, okulların materyal ihtiyaçlarını karşıladıklarında ve öğrencilerin bireysel
sorunlarını çözdüklerinde çok mutlu oldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmada öğretmen
adaylarının bir okuldaki problemleri çözdüklerinde veya çözüme kavuşturduklarında okuldaki öğrencilerin
mutlu olmasından dolayı daha da mutlu oldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Community service practices are a teaching method that combines curriculum with the needs of society and encourages individuals to be more sensitive. Although the method was used by non-governmental organizations at first, it has started to be used in the education community to meet the needs of schools and to solve the problems encountered. Later, this method was started to be taught as a course in universities to use community service practices more actively and more effectively. For this reason, the community service practices course was included in the courses taught in universities in 2006 and is still shown as a course in the education faculties of universities. The aim of this course is to make pre-service teachers more sensitive or conscious of the problems in society and to develop solutions to problems and to gain the ability to solve problems. In addition, with the community service practices course, it is tried to provide teacher candidates with roles and behaviors such as cooperation, coordinated work, responsibility, teamwork, leadership, management, project making. This study was carried out to determine the opinions of pre-service teachers about the community service practices course. The study group of the research consists of teacher candidates who took community service practices courses in different departments of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Education in the 2021-2022 academic year. The research is a qualitative study to determine the opinions of pre-service teachers about the community service practices course. The case study method was used in the research. The pre-service teachers participated in the research on a voluntary basis. Research data were collected with a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. All the data obtained were analyzed by coding with the content analysis method. As a result of the research, it was concluded that teacher candidates are very happy when they help schools with physical problems, meet the material needs of the schools and solve the individual problems of the students. In addition, in the study, it was concluded that the teacher candidates are even happier when they solve or solve the problems in a school because the students at the school are happy.
