Özet
Bu çalışmada, karışık dişlenme döneminde dudak emme ve dil itimi alışkanlıklarının sebep olduğu ön açık kapanışın erken dönem ortodontik tedavisinin sunulması amaçlanmıştır. Sekiz yaşındaki kız olgu, açık kapanış şikâyetiyle kliniğimize getirildi. Yapılan muayenesinde; olgunun dil itimli yutkunma ve alt dudak emme alışkanlıklarına sahip olduğu saptandı. Olgunun zararlı alışkanlıklarının önlenmesi ve bu şekilde açık kapanışının tedavisi için sabit dil önleyici aparey ile lip bumper alışkanlık kırıcı apareyleri uygulandı. Olgu iki buçuk yıl süresince izlem altına alındı. Olgunun alışkanlık kırıcı apareylerle zararlı ağız alışkanlıklarını bıraktığı ve ön açık kapanış probleminin bu süreçte düzeldiği gözlemlendi.
The aim of this case report is to present orthodontic treatment of anterior openbite, which is caused by lip sucking and tongue thrust during mixed dentition. An 8-year-old girl was admitted to our clinic with openbite complaint. It was determined that the patient had tongue thrust and lower lip sucking habits. This patient treated with fixed tongue crib and lip bumper habit breaking appliances. The patient was followed for two and a half years. It was observed that the patient left the harmful mouth habits with the habit breaking devices and the problem of anterior openbite was treated in this process.
