Abstract
Bu çalışmada, ZnCo alaşımı kaplanmış karbon çelik yüzeyine sodyum okzalat ve sodyum tartarat çözeltilerinde dönüşümlü voltametri tekniği ile homopolimer, kopolimer ve terpolimer filmler sentezlenmiştir. Bu kaplamaların yüzey ve yapı analizleri SEM ve FTIR teknikleri ile incelenmiş, karakterizasyonu doğrusal taramalı voltametri ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Korozyon performansları elektrokimyasal impedans spektroskopisi (EIS), anodik polarizasyon ve açık devre potansiyeli-zaman teknikleriyle incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları, kopolimer filmlerin antikorozif özelliğinin monomer oranlarıyla oldukça ilişkili olduğunu, homopolimer filmlerden yapısal ve antikorozif özellik bakımından farklı olduğunu göstermiştir. Elektrolit türünün sentezlenen filmlerin yapısal ve bariyer özelliklerine önemli oranda etki ettiği belirlenmiştir. Sentezlenen homopolimer, kopolimer ve terpolimer filmlerin bariyer ve katalitik özellikleri ile ZnCo kaplı karbon çeliğin korozyonunu önlemede önemli ve etkili rol oynadıkları tespit edilmiştir.
In this study, homopolymer, copolymer and terpolymer films in sodium oxalate and sodium tartrate aquaous solutions were synthesized on the ZnCo alloy plated carbon steel surface using cyclic voltammetry technique. Surface and structure of these films were studied by SEM and FTIR techniques. Polymer films were characterized by lineer sweep voltammetry technique. Corrosion performances of films were investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), anodic polarization and open circuit potential-time techniques. The results of the studies showed that anticorrosive properties of copolymer films were significantly related to monomer ratio. The synthesized copolymer films were different in aspect of structure and corrosion behavior when compare with homopolymer films. Electrolyte type was affected on the structural and barrier properties of films. It was shown that homopolymer, copolymer and terpolymer films provided significant and effective protection for the ZnCo plated carbon steel, in preventing corrosion by means of their barrier and catalytic behaviours.
