dc.description.abstractBu olgu sunumunu Veteriner Fakültesi Cerrahi kliniğine getirilen 3 günlük, erkek, holstein melezi ikiz buzağı oluşturdu. Klinik muayenede, ikizlerden birinin normal, küçük ve parazitik olan diğerinin ise normal buzağının göbek ve sternumu arasında ventral karın duvarına yapışık olduğu görüldü. Parazit ikiz operasyonla tutunduğu bölgeden uzaklaştırıldı. Parazit ikizin nekropsisinde; ağız, yanak ve dişlerin şekillendiği; dil, iskelet sistemi ve gözün tam olarak gelişmediği; kulak, kulak yolu, farinks, epiglottis, burun boşluğu, beyin ve beyinciğin hiç gelişmediği gözlendi. Baş bölgesinin arkasında 5x5x8 cm ebatlarında serohemorajik içerikli fluktuasyonlu bir kese bulunan parazit ikizde; kolumna vertebralis ve medulla spinalisin gelişimini tamamlamadığı, sağ skapula, humerus ve antebrahium dışında ön ve arka bacak kemiklerinin bulunmadığı belirlendi. Göğüs kafesi ve organları yoktu ancak özefagus mide benzeri bir yapı ile uzanarak duedonumla kör bir kese şeklinde sonlanıyordu. Jejenum, ileum ve sekum tam gelişirken mekonyum dolu kolon kör kese olarak sonlanmıştı. Ayrıca karaciğer, böbrek, idrar kesesi, genital organlar, anüs ve rektum yoktu. İkizlerde ortak organ olmaması sağlıklı yavrunun prognozunu olumlu etkiledi ve postoperatif hiçbir komplikasyonla karşılaşılmadıen_US
dc.description.abstractThe case were three-day-old male Holstein cross breed twin calves, one of which was normal and the other was small and conjoined to the ventral abdominal wall between sternal and umbliçal region of the normal calf -parasitic twin-brought to Veterinary Faculty, Department of Surgery clinics. Parasitic twin was removed by . operation. In necropsy examination of parasitic twin, it was observed that mouth, cheek and teeth were formed; tongue, musculo-sceleton system and eyes were not sufficiently formed; and ears and external ear cavity, pharynx, larynx epiglottis, nasal cavity, cerebrum and cerebellum were absent. In the occipital area of the parasitic twin, there was a pouch filled with sero-haemorrhagic fluid, 5x5x8 cm in diameter. It was determined that the growth of vertebral column and spinal cord were incomplete, and only the right scapula, humerus and antebrachium bones, but no other limb bones, were formed. There were no thoracic cavity and its organs but esophagus was extending with a structure like stomach and ending with duodenum as a blind pouch. Jejunum, ileum and caecum were developed completely, whereas colon was ended as blind pouch filled with meconium. In addition, there were no liver, kidneys, urinary bladder, genital tract, anus and rectum. The prognosis of operation was good because of being not sharing organs and it was not encountered any complications postoperatively.en_US
