Özet
Bu çalışmada İskenderun Körfezi'nden Temmuz 2012 ile Haziran 2013 tarihleri arasında aylık olarak toplanan mavi yüzücü yengeç Portunus segnis (Forskål, 1175)'in bazı biyolojik özellikleri verilmiştir. Elde edilen toplam 445 adet P. segnis bireyinin % 53,26 (237)'sı erkek, % 36,85 (164)'i dişi ve % 9,89'u (44; 5 erkek, 39 dişi) jüvenil bireylerden oluştuğu belirlenmiştir. Mavi yüzücü yengecin karapas genişlik dağılımı 45,2 mm ile 171,5 mm arasında, ağırlığı ise 4,45 g ile maksimum 368,5 g arasındadır. Eşey oranı (E:D) 1:0,69 olup, erkekler baskındır (p<0.05). Erkek, dişi ve tüm bireyler için sırasıyla boy-ağırlık ilişkisi W= W=0,000069CL2,981, W=0,000058CL3,002 ve W=0,000068CL2,971 bulunmuştur. P. segnis'in erkek, dişi ve tüm bireyler için izometrik büyüme tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma süresince elde edilen P. segnis'in cinsiyete göre ortalama kondüsyon faktörü erkek bireyler için 0,0067±0,00023 (ortalama±SH), dişiler için ise 0,0060±0,00011 (ortalama±SH) olarak hesaplanmıştır. P. segnis'in yumurta taşıyan bireyleri Nisan-Kasım dönemi arasında elde edilmiştir. Yumurta verimliliğinin ortalama 805851±93792 (75467-1929117) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Mavi yüzücü yengeç bireylerine ait midelerin %66,52'si dolu iken %33,48'i ise boştu. İncelenen mide içeriğinde mollusk (Bivalvia ve Gastropoda), krustase (Stomatopod ve yengeç ekstremiteleri), balık ekstremiteleri (çoğunlukla pullar), kum ve feces olarak tespit edilmiştir.
In this study, the several bio-ecological characteristics of the speciemens of blue swimming crab Portunus segnis (Forskål, 1175) collected in the Iskenderun Bay were studied between July 2012 and June 2013. A total of 445 specimens consisted of 53.26% (237 individuals) male, 36.85% (164 individuals) female and %9.89 (44 individuals) juvenile of which five were males and 39 were females. The distribution of carapace width of the blue swimming crab was found to be between 45.2 mm and 171.5 mm, and the weight varied between 4.45 g and a maximum of 368.5 g. Sex ratio (M:F) is 1: 0.69, which indicated that the population was predominantly in favor of males (p<0.05). Length-weight relationships for male, female and all individuals found to be W=0,000069CL2,981, W=0,000058CL3,002 and W= 0,000068CL2,971, respectively,. An isometric growth for all groups was determined for the individuals of P. segnis. Sex depended average condition factors of P. segnis were found as 0.0067±0.00023 for males and 0.0060±0.00011 for females. Egg-bearing individuals of P. segnis were obtained between April and November. Average fecundity was 805851±93792 eggs and ranged between 75467 and 1929117. Investigation of stomach contant revealed that stomach of %66.52 of the blue swimming crab was full while %33.48 of the individuals contained an empty stomach. Stomach contents have been identified as Molluscs (Bivalvia and Gastropoda), Crustaceans (crab extremities and Stomatopods), fish extremities (mostly scales), sand and feces.
