Özet
Bu çalışmada, kollarıyla birlikte önemli su rezervine sahip olan Asi Nehrindeki balıkçılık yapısı hakkında bilgiler sunulmaktadır. Bu amaçla avlanan türler, kullanılan av araçları, avcılık yöntemleri ve balıkçı profili tespit edilmiştir. Av miktarlarının belirlenmesinde, Hatay Tarım İl Müdürlüğü kayıtları kullanılmıştır. Balıkçı profili, nehir üzerindeki farklı bölgelerde, balıkçılıkla uğraşan kişilerle yüz yüze görüşülerek tespit edilmiştir. Bölgede kullanılan av araçları, FAO Katalogları Standartlarında gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu nehir sisteminde, Karabalık (Clarias lazera), Cyprinidae familyasına ait türler (Cyprinus carpio, Capoeta capoeta, Capoeta trutta, Capoeta damascina, Capoeta barroisi) ve Yılan Balığı (Anguilla anguilla) başlıca av gruplarını oluşturmaktadır. Avcılık, uzatma ağları, pinter, serpme, çeşitli tipte oltalar ve yerel tuzaklarla yapılmaktadır. Bölgede balıkçılık yapan kişilerin çoğunluğu amatör veya ticari balıkçı belgesine sahip olmasına rağmen, nehir onlar için önemli gelir kaynağı oluşturmaktadır. Asi Nehrindeki balıkçılık faaliyetleri insan gücüyle yapılan, küçük ölçekli balıkçılık olarak tanımlanmıştır.
In this study, data on fisheries along River Asi with important water reserve together with its tributaries are included. For this purpose, species caught in the area, fishing gear used, catching methods and fisherman profiles were determinate. Records of Hatay Agriculture Ministry Department were used for catch amount estimated. Fisherman profiles are defined by face to face talks in different area of the River. Fishing gears used in the region were illustrated according to catalogues of FAO standards. Catch species groups such as Catfish (Clarias lazera), family of Cyprinidae (Cyprinus carpio, Capoeta capoeta, Capoeta trutta, Capoeta damascina, Capoeta barroisi) and Eel fish (Anguilla anguilla) are frequently caught in the basin. Fishing is carried out with set nets, fyke nets, seine nets, various types of fishing lines and local traps. Most of the people, who were fishing activity in the River, haven’t license of amateur or professional fisherman while the River has provided important income for the people. These fishing activities in River Asi were determinated artisanal fishing.
