Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul, lise ve üniversite öğrencilerine stokiyometrik kimya problemlerini çözmelerinde yardımcı olacağı düşünülen bir kimyasal problem çözme tekniğini tanıtmaktır. Çalışmada ayrıca, stokiyometrik haritalama adı verilen bu tekniğin etkinliği belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Veriler, Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği programı birinci sınıf öğrencilere sorulan açık uçlu sorular aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler betimsel bir analize tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışmanın sonuçları stokiyometrik haritalama tekniğinin, problemin çözüm sürecini aşamalandırarak netlik kazandırdığını, problem çözücülere kolaylık sağladığını ve onları doğru sonuçlara yönlendirdiğini ortaya koymaktadır.
The aim of this study is to introduce a problem solving technique which is thought it would help to solve the chemical problems. Also, another aim was to determine the effectiveness of this technique named the stoichiometric mapping. The data of the study was obtained through open-ended questions that asked to the freshman students in a science education department. The data were analyzed with descriptive analysis technique. The results of the study indicate that the stoichiometric mapping technique bring clarity problem solving process by staging it, facilitate problem solving and, direct the problem solver to correct results.
