Özet
Kültür, bir toplumun yaşam tarzının, atalarından gelen örf, adet ve geleneklerinin, değerlerinin, bir başka ifadeyle o toplumun ürettiğinin toplamıdır. Milletlerin varlığını sürdürebilmesi ve kültürel mirasını koruyarak gelecek nesillere aktarabilmesi için kültürel değerlerinin farkında olması gerekmektedir. Bu sebeple tüm dünyada halk kültürünün ihmal edilmesi ile kültürel zenginliğin ortadan kalkması olasılığı karşısında UNESCO somut olmayan kültürel mirasın korunması sözleşmesini imzalamıştır. Kültürel mirasımızın en önemli unsurlarından olan geleneksel el sanatlarının korunması, geliştirilmesi ve sürdürülebilirliği hem geleneklerin korunması hem de yaşatılması bakımından ele alınması gereken bir konudur. Erzurum, çeyiz geleneğinin yaşatıldığı nadir illerimizden birisidir. Günümüzde, el sanatlarımızın geçmişteki ve bugünkü durumunu araştırıp ortaya koyabilmek, kültürel birikim olarak değerlendirmesini yapabilmek için, bugünkü örneklerden yola çıkarak, geçmişle olan bağları kurmak zorunluluğunu doğurmuştur. Bunun için, el sanatı ürünlerimizi sandıklardan çıkarıp gözler önüne sererek belgelemek gerekmektedir. El sanatlarımız; toplumumuzun estetik zevkleri, gelenekleri, inanışları, töreleri ile yoğrularak günümüze, bugünkü biçimlerine ulaşmışlardır. Bu araştırmada, Erzurum’da çeyiz geleneğinin geçmiş ve günümüzdeki durumunu tespit etmek, el sanatlarına olan ilgi seviyesini belirlemek, el sanatları kapsamında hangi çeyizlik ürünleri ürettiklerini ortaya koymak, geçmişte yapılan çeyizlik ürünlerle günümüzdekilerin farkını tespit etmek, gelecek nesillere aktarılmasında ve korunmasında somut olmayan kültürel miras çerçevesinde değerlendirilmesi, korunmasındaki rolünü tartışmak ve bu geleneğin sürdürülebilirliği açısından önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
Culture is the sum of the life style of a society, its customs, customs and traditions from its ancestors, in other words, it is the sum of what that society has produced. Nations must be aware of their cultural values so that they can survive and will be able to maintain their cultural heritage and pass on to future generations. For this reason, UNESCO has signed a contract for the protection of the intangible cultural heritage in the face of the possibility of the abolition of the cultural richness by neglecting the folk culture all over the world. The preservation, development and sustainability of traditional handicrafts, which are the most important elements of our cultural heritage, should be addressed in terms of protection and preservation of the traditions. Erzurum is one of the rare provinces where the tradition of dowry is kept alive in Turkey. Nowadays, in order to be able to investigate and present the past and present situation of our handicrafts, and to make its evaluation as cultural accumulation, it has been obliged to establish the ties with the past based on the present examples. For this, it is necessary to document our handicraft products from the chests and document them. Our handicrafts being kneaded with aesthetic tastes, traditions, beliefs and ceremonies of our society have reached today in their present forms. In this research, to determine the past and present status of the dowry tradition in Erzurum, to determine the level of interest in handicrafts, to determine which dowry products are produced under the handicrafts, to determine the difference between the past dowry products and those present in the past, the intangible cultural heritage In the framework of the evaluation, the role of the conservation of this tradition is discussed.
