Uç alma ve yapraktan azot uygulamalarının Safari sunset ve Gold strike protea (Leucadendron) çeşitlerinin bazı fenolojik ve morfolojik özelliklerle verim ve kalitesine etkileri

Özet
Bu çalışma, ülkemiz kesme çiçek sektörü için yeni bir tür olan protealarda yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada, Gold Strike ve Safari Sunset protea çeşitlerinde uç alma ve yapraktan azot uygulamalarının bazı fenolojik ve morfolojik özelliklerle verim ve kalitesine etkileri incelenmiştir. Kırıkhan/Hatay ekolojisinde hasat tarihinin Gold Strike çeşidinde 8 Aralık'ta gerçekleşirken, hasat tarihi Safari Sunset çeşidinde 22 Aralık'ta gerçekleşmiştir. Çiçek sapı uzunluğunun Safari Sunset çeşidinde (83.60 cm) Gold Strike çeşidinden (68.43 cm) daha fazla olduğu saptanmıştır. Uç alma uygulamalarının çiçek sapı uzunluğunu azalttığı, ancak üre uygulamalarının çiçek sapı uzunluğunu arttırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Uç alma ve üre uygulaması kombinasyonlarının Safari Sunset ve Gold Strike çeşitlerinde çiçek kalitesini yükselttiği belirlenmiştir. Gold Strike çeşidinin vazo ömrü 16.5 gün olarak belirlenirken, Safari Sunset çeşidinde vazo ömrü 12.9 gün olarak belirlenmiştir. Pazarlanabilir verim ve dekara verim üzerine çeşit, uç alma ve üre uygulamalarının önemli düzeyde olumlu etkisi bulunmuştur. Gold Strike çeşidinde pazarlanabilir verim ve dekara verim değerleri (23.61 adet sürgün/bitki ve 51.648 adet sürgün/da) Safari Sunset çeşidine göre (21.68 adet sürgün/bitki ve 48.171 adet sürgün/da) daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Uç alma uygulamalarının dekara verimi yaklaşık %30 oranında arttırdığı saptanmıştır. En yüksek pazarlanabilir ve dekara verim UA3xÜ2 uygulamasından (sırasıyla, 28.24 adet sürgün/bitki ve 62.753 adet sürgün/da) elde edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, her iki protea çeşidinde uç alma ve üre kombinasyonlarının verim ve kalite üzerine olumlu etkileri tespit edilmiştir.
This study was carried out on protea cultivars which are new cut flower for Turkey. The study was determined to effects of pinching and urea applications on some phenological, morphological, yield and quality characteristics of Safari Sunset and Gold Strike protea cultivars. The harvest date was 8 December for Gold Strike cultivar while it was 22 December for Safari Sunset cultivar. The stem length of Safari Sunset cultivar (83.60 cm) was higher than Gold Strike cultivar (68.43 cm). Pinching application was decreased to stem length whereas urea application was increased to stem length. The flower quality of Safari Sunset and Gold Strike cultivars was increased by pinching and urea applications. The vase life was 16.5 days for Gold Strike whereas the vase life was 12.9 days Safari Sunset. Marketable yield and yield per decares was positively affected by cultivar, pinching and urea applications. The highest marketable yield and yield per decares values were found in Gold Strike (23.61 stem number/plant and 51.648 stem number/da) compared to Safari Sunset (21.68 stem number/plant and 48.171 stem number/da). Yield per decares was increased about 30% in pinching applications.
