dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın temel amacı küreselleşme sürecinin etkilediği ülkemizde temel ekonomik gösterge olan dış ticaret ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımların ekonomik büyüme üzerine etkisini incelemektir. Bu anlamda üç ayrı model kurularak ihracat-büyüme, ithalat-büyüme ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar-büyüme ilişkileri ayrı ayrı araştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar, dış ticaret ve büyüme teorileri incelenmiş, Türkiye ekonomisinin durumu cumhuriyetin ilanından itibaren kronolojik olarak anlatılmış ve literatür taraması yapılmıştır. Uygulama bölümünde Türkiye ekonomisi için 1998-2015 dönemi üç aylık verileri için zaman serisi yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Zaman serisi analizi kapsamında tüm değişkenlerin durağanlık özellikleri, Arttırılmış Dickey-Fuller Birim Kök Testi ile incelenmiştir. Durağan olmayan değişkenler için Johansen eşbütünleşme testi ve değişkenler arasındaki nedensel ilişkiler için Granger Nedensellik modeli kullanılmıştır. Son olarak, VAR modeli kapsamında değişkenler arasındaki ilişkilerin ortaya konulması için İtki-Tepki Fonksiyonları ve Değişim Kaynağının Ayrıştırımı teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Eşbütünleşme analizi sonuçlarına göre doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar, dış ticaret ve ekonomik büyüme arasında uzun dönemli ilişki bulunmamaktadır. 1998-2015 arası dönemi için ithalat ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımlardan büyümeye doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir. Türkiye ekonomisi için ithalata dayalı büyüme hipotezi desteklenmekte, ithalat ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımların verimliliği artırarak ekonomik büyümeye katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to examine the impact of the foreign trade and the foreign direct investments on economical growth which is the basic economic indicator in our globalizing country. In this sense, the relationships between export-led growth, import-growth and foreign trade investments-growth have been researched respectively. In this study, foreign direct investments, foreign trade and growth theories have been examined. The status of Turkey's economy has been described chronologically from the proclamation of the republic and the literature review has been conducted. Time series method have been applied in the analysis section for the quarterly data of 1998-2015 periods of Turkey's economy. Within the scope of time-series analysis, stationarity properties of all variables were examined by using Augmented Dickey-Fuller Unit Root Test. For nonstationary variables Johansen cointegration method and the causal relationships between variables, Granger causality model were employed. Finally, impulse- response functions and variance decomposition techniques were used within the scope of VAR model in order that relationship between variables have been revealed. According to the results of analysis, there is no evidence of the long-run relationship between foreign direct investments, foreign trade and real incame. There is one-way causality relation from import to economic growth and from foreign direct investment to economic growth for 1998-2015 period. As a conclusion Turkey's economy depends heavily on imports for growth hypothesis is supported, imports and increasing the efficiency of foreign direct investment is expected to contribute to economic growth.en_US
