Özet
Bu çalışmada, Hatay il merkezinde yaşayan tüketicilerin piliç eti tüketim alışkanlıkları araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada 1000 adet anket kullanılmıştır. Toplanan verilerin değerlendirilmesinde frekans tabloları, yüzde (%) hesaplamalar ve grafiklerden yararlanılmıştır. Tüketicilerin genel olarak % 47 oranla aylık gelirlerinin 401-800 TL'sini gıda harcamalarına ayırdıkları tespit edilmiştir. Et çeşitleri karşılaştırıldığında, tüketiciler tarafından % 41.5'lik payla en çok tavuk etinin tercih edildiği saptanmıştır. Bireyler aylık 1-5 kg aralığında tavuk eti tüketmektedirler. Diğer taraftan, kişiler tavuk etini tüketirken daha fazla damak tadı ve besin değerini önemsemişlerdir. Ayrıca, tüketicilerin tavuk eti alım tercihleri en fazla % 79.6 oranla "son bir haftada 1-3 kg" olarak belirlenmiştir. Tavuk sakatatının büyük oranda (% 86) tüketilmediği tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak Hatay il merkezinde yaşayan insanlar için tavuk eti üretimi ve tüketimi son derece önemlidir. In this study, chicken meat consumption of people living in the central district of Hatay has been investigated. 1000 surveys were used for this investigation. Frequency tables, per cent (%) calculations and graphics were used to analyze datas of this survey. It was determined that in generally, the consumers were allocated 401-800 TL of their income which tabulates 47% of their monthly income. It's determined that the chicken meat were the mostly preferred by consumers with 41.5% among all the meat types. The average monthly chicken meat consumption was 1-5 kg chicken meat monthly. Moreover, one of the important reasons for the customer preference was the taste and nutritional. In addition, the purchasing decision of consumers was determined "1-3 kg in last week" with 79.6%. The results also revealed that the giblets were not consume 86%. As a result, chicken meat production and its consumption is very important for living of people in the central district of Hatay consumption patterns of persons their appetite and food culture, educational and income status were directly or indirectly effective on their consumption of chicken meat. 2014, 51 pages Key words : Hatay, Chicken meat consumption
