Some viruses (AMV, ApMV, ArMV, CLRV-e, CRLV, INSV, POTY, PNRSV, RBDV, RpRSV, SLRSV, ToRSV, TRSV, TSV, TSWV and TMV) their natural hosts and vectors were investigated by DAS-ELISA, DNA staining-DAPI and biological indexing methods in Raspberry and blackberry nursery and orchards in Hatay province in 2009–2012. ApMV, ArMV, CLRV-e, INSV, PNRSV, RBDV, RpRSV, SLRSV, ToRSV, TRSV and virus vector nematode Xiphinema sp. have been identified for the first time in blackberry and raspberry areas in Turkey. The most abundant viruses were found as RBDV (25.40%), ToRSV (12.21%), RpRSV (11.89%), ArMV (10.28%) ve TRSV (8.68%) in blackberry and raspberry samples. The most common dually infections were detected as RBDV+RpRSV (3.27%) and ArMV+RBDV (2.90%) in blackberry samples. The most common multiple infections were detected as RBDV+ RpRSV+ToRSV by rate of 0.72%. According to the results of mixed infections and symptomology, the presence of Blackberry yellow vein disease (BYVD) has been determined in Turkey. Total of 12 insect, nematode and mite species that some of them are important as potential vectors of the viruses and 3 natural enemies have been identified in the orchards. Raspberries and blackberries in the common garden weed species has been identified as 22 from the root zone of plants Xiphinema sp. blackberry. Total of 22 weeds were identified as the most common species in Raspberry and blackberry. Sonchus oleraceus and Solanum nigrum species infected with AMV and Potyviruses can also infect Rubus species were identified for the first time in the blackberry orchards. ToRSV was transmitted to healthy C. sativus plants by adult Xiphinema sp. induviduals isolated from samples taken from rhizospheres of plants in the orchards. 2014, 71 pages
