Özet
Bu çalışmada, Ardahan bölgesinde arıcıların yapısı ve sosyo-ekonomik nitelikleri incelenmiş ve sorunlar tespit edilmiştir Bu araştırmanın, ileride yapılacak olan çalışmalara kaynak teşkil etmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Ardahan ili ve ilçelerinde Arıcılar Birliğine kayıtlı, 30'dan fazla koloniye sahip 50 arıcı, yüz yüze anket çalışması için rastgele seçilmiştir. Yapılan anket sonucuna göre arıcıların yaş ortalamalarının 47,67 yıl, arıcılık deneyimlerinin ortalama 18,28 yıl, %49,9'unun lise mezunu ve %87,1'inin sabit arıcı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan üreticilerin %35,6'sının asıl meleğinin arıcılık olduğu, %64'ünün ek gelir kaynağı olduğu için arıcılık yaptığı, %74,8'inin kolonilerin ana arısını 2 yılda bir değiştirdiği, koloni başına ortalama 15,4 kg bal alındığı, üretilen balın %91,5'inin satıldığı, hastalık ve zararlı konusunda da tecrübeli oldukları belirlenmiştir.
In this study, the structure and socio-economic quality of beekeper's in Ardahan province were observed and the problems were determined. It was aimed, this study will constitue a source fort he next studies. In the city of Ardahan and its counties, within the scope of this study 50 beekeepers who were affiliated with Beekeeper's Association and had more than 30 beehives were randomly selected for face to face questionnary studies As a result of this questionnary study it was determined; the average of beekeeper's age was 47.67 years, beekeeping profession years were 18.28 averagely, 49.9% were graduated of high school, 87.1% were stable. The The participants's 35.6% main job was beekeeping, 64% did beekeeping for side income, 74.8% changed queens of colony per 2 years, average colony yields were 15.4 kg, 91,5% of produced honey were sold, had profession about bee diseases and pests
