Özet
Bu çalışma Türkiye’deki belediye meclis üyelerinin temsil ediciliğini Erzincan örneğinde ele alıp incelemektedir. Bu çerçevede öncelikle Erzincan merkez ve ilçe belediyelerindeki meclis üyelerinin bir profili çıkarılmakta, daha sonra onların katılım kanalları, temsil, denetim belediyenin yapısı işleyişi hakkındaki görüş ve yaklaşımlarını ele almaktadır. Bu görüş ve yaklaşımlar daha çok belediye meclis üyelerinin temsil ediciliği nitelikleri çerçevesinde irdelenmektedir.
This study aims to make generalizations about the representativeness of municipal council members in Turkey using the case of municipal councils of Erzincan province and its districts. First, the characteristics of municipal council members in Erzincan province and its districts were discussed. Second, the attitudes and perceptions of these council members towards a number of issues about local democracy were analyzed. These include the attitudes of the council members towards local participation, local representation, central government- local government relations.
